About Us

Since 1970

Located on the outskirts of Crema, within the splendid La Costa farmhouse, La Costa Pernottamenti stands in the Parco del Serio, a protected oasis in the heart of the charming Po Valley. Despite its exclusive and peaceful location, it is only 40 km from major Lombard cities such as Milan, Bergamo, Brescia, Cremona and Pavia, and is easily accessible from the Crema ring road.

Thanks to a careful conservative restoration begun in 2003 by the Gennari family and completed in 2006, one of the most beautiful farmhouses in the Cremona area has been brought back to its former splendour — creating a refined, welcoming and elegant environment, yet preserving a touch of rustic charm from bygone times.

Characterised by its neo-Gothic crenellated parapet, La Costa Pernottamenti originally belonged to the Allocchio family, owners of vast estates stretching from the River Serio to Ripalta Cremasca.
Although ancient in origin, there is no conclusive evidence confirming the 1400 date inscribed on its perimeter wall.
The current architectural layout dates back to the 19th century, when it was owned by Dr Luigi Allocchio.

Later inherited by engineer Stefano Allocchio, the estate was sold to the Paveri family in 1967 and then, in 1974, purchased by Emilio Gennari, a descendant of the original family. He transformed it into a quality country guesthouse with a gym and swimming pool.
The name “La Costa” derives from the natural slope of the land shaped by the waters of the River Serio.
The architectural complex consists of two main buildings connected by an elegant perforated terracotta parapet, enriched with Ghibelline battlements, pointed windows, painted decorations, fireplaces, and a distinctive little bell tower with a weather vane.
